Pinterest is a Search Engine...

When we think of Search Engines...we naturally think of Google.

However, Pinterest is another search engine where people are searching for image ideas or inspiration.

What's crazy is that Pinterest (a search engine) gets nearly 600,000,000 visitors a month from another search engine (Google).

Pinterest gets over 1 billion visitors total per month! (Lots of people go to Pinterest directly or from other locations in addition to just Google).

I've personally had sites that get thousands of visitors every day from Pinterest.

If you know what you are doing and plan strategically, Pinterest can send YOU lots of traffic.

I was recently exchanging some emails with Tony Hill (recent interview on Niche Pursuits Podcast here) and he was explaining how he's thinking about Pinterest as a search engine.

He theorizes that if you can target specific keywords and phrases with your pins and rank well for those pins...you'll get lots of traffic.

And based on his results, I'd say he's right.
